This is the night of Halloween
When all the witches might be seen;
Some of them black, some of them green;
Some of them like a turkey bean.
Halloween is an old English holiday. It is the last night in October. This holiday comes from Ireland and Scotland. Old and young take part in the festivals. People usually wear scary masks of witches and wizards, because they say ghosts and witches come out on Halloween. One of the symbols is a lantern made from a pumpkin. Usually it is a big orange or yellow pumpkin with cut out eyes, nose, mouth and a candle is put inside. People sit in a circle and tell ghost stories.
Хелоуин - старый английский праздник. Его отмечают в последнюю ночь октября. Этот праздник пришел из Ирландии и Шотландии. И старые и молодые люди принимают участие в этом фестивале. Люди обычно одевают маски ведьм и волшебников, т.к. верят, что привидения и ведьмы показываются в Хелоуин. Одним из символов праздника является фонарь, сделанный из тыквы. Обычно это большая оранжевая или желтая тыква с вырезанными глазами, носом, ртом и свечей внутри. Люди сидят в кругу и рассказывают истории о привидениях.
On October 31st many children like to have parties. They dress up as witches, ghosts, goblins, hags, monsters, devils, vampires, werewolves or anything else scary like Frankenstein, Batman and Spiderman or other TV characters they are fond of. Boys and girls take pumpkins and bags and go along the streets, knock on the door of the houses. They ask a traditional question “trick or treat”. People give them a treat – an apple, some sweets, pieces of a pie. If they don’t, children play a trick on them.
31 октября многие дети любят устраивать вечеринки. Они наряжаются ведьмами, привидениями, гоблинами, монстрами, дьяволами, вампирами, оборотнями и другими страшными персонажами, такими как Франкенштейн, или персонажами из любимых фильмов – Бетменом или Спайдерменом. Мальчики и девочки берут тыквы, мешки и ходят от дома к дому, стучат в двери и задают традиционный вопрос «трюк или угощение». Люди дают им угощение – яблоко, конфеты, кусок пирога. Если же они не угощают их, дети разыгрывают над ними трюк.

“Catch a witch”
Now let’s find out who’s the best witch hunter. Find and count all the witches in our hall. Two volunteers will do it.

Game 6
“Roll a pumpkin” - each team have to roll a pumpkin around “Jack-o-lantern”. The winner is the team which will be the first.
«Катание тыквы» - каждой команде нужно прокатить тыкву вокруг Джек-о-Лантена. Победитель – команда, пришедшая первой.
Game 7
“How many?” - A jar full of candy, and the teams are supposed to figure out how many there are.
«Сколько?» - команды называют одну цифру, чья ближе к ответу, та и выигрывает.
It's so gay here and there is much light that comes from your smiles and from our lanterns. Look! The night is over, the ghosts and witches are running away. We had a lot of fun. And now we'll say 'Good bye" till the next Halloween.
Здесь так весело и так много света излучают ваши улыбки и фонари. Посмотрите!!! Ночь закончилась, привидения и ведьмы убегают. Мы много веселились, а сейчас пора прощаться до следующего праздника.
